This June, Jubilant! once again transformed Stowmarket into a town-wide celebration of young people’s creativity, bringing together schools, artists, families and cultural organisations for a week inspired by this year’s theme: Revolution.
Led by the Stowmarket Culture Group, the free annual mini festival showcased work created by children and young people from across the town and surrounding villages. Over the course of several months, pupils collaborated with professional artists to explore what revolution means to them, producing an inspiring collection of photography, visual art, theatre, music and creative projects.
The festival opened with a lively Festival Friday celebration in Stowmarket Market Place, with exhibitions and installations continuing throughout the week in venues including the John Peel Centre, Fox Yard Studio, Food Museum, The Regal, The Mix, Red Gables, Stowmarket Library and Modece Architects.

Their expertise and encouragement helped pupils experiment with new creative techniques while exploring ideas of change, challenge and transformation.
Seeing artwork displayed in professional venues across Stowmarket gave young people the opportunity to share their ideas with the wider community while encouraging residents and visitors to explore the town’s cultural spaces.
